Wynn Las Vegas and acclaimed global hospitality partner h.wood Group present Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas, a modern-day supper club. Located in the exclusive Tower Suites enclave, Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas features brunch, cocktails, dining, entertainment, and late-night inspired by the earliest showrooms of Las Vegas in the 1950s.
As a Lead Host at Delilah, the position will play a lead role in creating an extraordinary arrival experience for our guests while fully utilizing the table inventory to exceed the given goals for cover count. This role also ensures the coordination between the host team, dining room service team and the culinary team to communicate crucial points such as party size arrangements, allergy notes, special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries and such) and high-profile notes. Lead Host plans the seating to curate an energetic and vibrant dining room scene daily.
As the first point of contact for guests, Lead Host owns the guest interaction with professionalism, hospitality and approachable mannerism to provide the guests a sensation of "you've arrived".
Job Description:
- Coordinates seating plans, ensuring guests are seated in the most efficient way possible while considering the seating preferences, dining room atmosphere and service standards
- Pre-plan, recognize any returning and VIP guests from various departments
- Trains host staff to uphold the standards of Wynn and Pisces service guidelines
- Handles guest inquiries, receive and resolve guest recoveries related to the arrival and seating experience
- Communicate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, special requests - responsible for conveying all such information to management
- Maintains knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in-house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant
- Answers phones, keep accurate count of reservations and handle reservation book within Wynn etiquette guidelines
- Ensuring all menus are presentable, free of damage and errors
- Communicates the needs of the guests to the kitchen and management when received
- Frequently checks back with guests who are waiting to be seated and provides accurate wait time
- Monitors, maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas; shut down podium and forward phones to voice-loop at end of shift
- Ensuring the farewell remarks are delivered during guests' departure
- Adhering to the sequence of service and the host person's responsibilities as outlined in the Wynn and Delilah Standards
- Organizing the restaurant flow and communicating effectively to the hostess team
Qualifications
- Candidates must communicate in English fluently, professionally and punctually
- Minimum of 3 years of previous work experience as a Host Person or Matre'd in luxury fine dining restaurants
- Candidates must exhibit food & service knowledge including steps of service
- Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment
- Must obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all time
- Create an internal rolodex that is used to identify and welcome return guests and VIPs
- Have the confidence to control the door and flow of reservations and handle all potential conflicts that may arise
- Minimum of two years of experience with Open Table, Sevenrooms or Resy reservation platforms
- Maintains and monitors the nightly waitlist to foresee the potential for walk-in business
- Motivate and train the host staff to meet and exceed service standards
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or above
