ALMA Provisions Store is looking for a part-time Front Counter Server.

The Provisions Store is a Cafe-style take away & retail venue in southwest Minneapolis which includes food, goods and apothecary, owned by James Beard award-winning chef Alex Roberts.

The primary responsibility of this role is showing guests stellar hospitality by providing spectacular food and drink knowledge, correct order taking and maintaining a clean environment. This position rotates through order taking, barista and execution of our cafe menu which requires basic kitchen skills. Barista experience is a plus, but we are willing to train. We are seeking a candidate who recognizes the value of welcoming, inclusive hospitality, working collaboratively with others, and enjoys a fun, fast paced environment.

The Counter Server position is 3-5 shifts per week, 20 to 40hr/week. Open availability mornings and weekends is a must. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but not expected. Alma is a no tipping required establishment to create greater equity for our entire staff. Wages range from $18-$21 based on experience.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience preferred
• Basic kitchen skills
• A passion for hospitality
• Interest in great food
• Commitment to professional and friendly communication practices
• Demonstrate proper hospitality standards and Alma Provisions menu and product knowledge
• An ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment
