Drive hotel van or designated vehicles to and from guest destination in a safe and courteous manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to all guest request for shuttle service in a prompt and courteous manner; assist guest with luggage while boarding and off loading the vehicle.
Operate vehicle in accordance with state laws; observe all rules pertaining to shuttle vehicles.
Explain and promote hotel facilities, outlets and services to guest and provide information to guest regarding local attractions and activities.
Perform daily inspection of vehicles; takes necessary action to correct deficiencies or unsafe conditions; keep vehicle clean and neat at all times.
Respond to guest request and complaints in a prompt and professional manner. Inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied guests.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
May regularly inspect and clear hotel entrance and surrounding area of litter and debris.
May assist with other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent, one year guest service or driver experience preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred. Valid driver's license required.
This job requires ability to preform the following:
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds
Driving to and from guest destinations
Handling objects such as luggage
Bending, stooping, kneeling
Other:
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with the other guest and employees.
Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing department records/logs, reading road signs, etc..
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
