Job Description

We're working with a respected healthcare facility in Gardner, KS to find a reliable and motivatedFood Prepper/Cook. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is comfortable with both food preparation and general labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with accuracy and efficiency.

• Unload deliveries and stock kitchen supplies (primarily on Fridays).

• Follow simple recipes and manage kitchen operations during weekend shifts.

• Lead and guide a team to stay on task.

• Support weekly meal prep and assist the cook on Mondays and Tuesdays.

• Perform cleaning duties, dishwashing, and general kitchen maintenance.

• Participate in assembly line food service and inventory tasks.

Essential Skills

• Prior experience in food prep and cooking across multiple meal periods.

• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

• Strong organizational skills for inventory and stocking.

• Comfortable with general labor tasks such as unloading and cleaning.

Additional Skills Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital environment is a plus.

• Ability to work in a climate-controlled setting.

• Familiarity with assembly line food serving is advantageous.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardner, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
