About Kinjo: Kinjo is a small, intimate omakase restaurant in Dumbo, Brooklyn. We pride ourselves on providing a refined dining experience in a clean and welcoming environment.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Restaurant Cleaner to maintain our dining areas, bathrooms, kitchen floors, and bar each morning before service. This role ensures our restaurant is spotless, organized, and fully stocked for guests and staff.
Responsibilities Include:
General cleaning of bathrooms, dining areas, entryway, and bar
Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitizing
Trash removal and restocking supplies
Cleaning kitchen floors and shared prep areas
Weekly deep-cleaning tasks (windows, ice machines, outdoor bins)
Final walkthrough and logging tasks before leaving
Requirements:
Prior cleaning/janitorial experience preferred but not required
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Comfortable with physical work (standing, bending, lifting)
Ability to work independently and follow a checklist
Schedule:
8:00 AM 1:00 PM (no unpaid breaks)
6 days per week (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
Compensation:
Hourly rate based on experience
Part-time role, 30 hours per week
