Location: Upper Valley Career Center District

General Job Description:
Operate POS register system for breakfast and lunch serving. Assist with preparation of breakfast and lunch service.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operation of the POS system for meal service.
Confirm start up cash amount each day.
Accept deposits on individual student meal accounts.
Tracking of student accounts and balances.
Identify the components of a reimbursable meal.
Balance receipts and prepare deposits daily as necessary.
Assist with meal preparation daily.
Set up and teardown serving lines as needed.
Provide supervisor with inventory updates on a regular basis.
Cross train and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of computer applications.
Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Have the ability to lift 20 pounds.
Meets all mandated health screening requirements.
Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Able to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
Maintains compliance with drug-free workplace rules, Board policies, and other applicable procedures/guidelines.
Salary:
Appropriate placement on the Food Service Salary Schedule to be determined by education and experience. Salary will range from $20,315.00 ( Class IIB, Step 0) to $22,565.00 (Class IIB, Step 5). Base contract is 194 Days. Minimum workday is 6 hours per day exclusive of a lunch break . One-year contract with opportunity for renewal.

School Employees Retirement System, Worker's Compensation, paid sick/personal leave, partial tuition reimbursement, and tax-sheltered retirement contributions. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offered. Some benefits are a shared cost between the employee and the Board of Education.
