Custodian Lead Tech-Maintenance

Taylor County is seeking qualified applicants for Custodian Lead Tech.

Works under the Taylor County Maintenance Director as the Custodian Supervisor

Checks on areas throughout the County Buildings for quality assurance

Purchases and inventories all janitorial supplies

Keeps the janitorial storage supply area organized

Keeps a record and organizes all A/C filters to the designated area at the LEC

Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in all building supply/custodian rooms

Replace light bulbs in all buildings, floors and offices as needed (burned out or if flashing)

Keep light fixtures and enclosures free of bugs and debris

Fills in for absent workers in any building including buffing and mopping

Training of new employees hired by the County

Handles the uniform needs of the custodians

Cleans ceiling vents and keeps high reach areas free of spiderwebs, bugs and dust

Wipes and polishes the lobby and common area furniture

Keeps the building exteriors clean: sidewalks, parking lots, flower beds, empty outdoor trash cans, empty cigarette containers

Performs minor repairs

Reports on all water leaks or deficiencies in need of repair to Maintenance Director

Replaces A/C filters in all buildings and offices as scheduled

Delivers copy paper and cleaning supplies to departments as requested

Keeps toilet paper, wipes, and paper towels stocked

Includes heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned

Will be the point of contact for various contractors and businesses

Works with minimum supervision, is motivated, and is detail oriented

Must be able to pass a background check to work in sensitive areas

Coordinates the scheduling of the Custodian Department

Is in contact with the Public, Department Heads, Elected Officials, and County workers

Salary: $52,000 annually + benefits
