Job Description
Join our team as a Banquet Bartender and become an integral part of our story. In this role, you will provide exceptional beverage service and craft mixed drinks for special events, ensuring guests receive outstanding bar service that enhances their overall experience.
Core Responsibilities
Bar Setup & Operations
Establish and maintain proper daily bar setup, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections
Maintain inventory levels and prepare fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure optimal product quality
Secure and store all beverages, food, and equipment after events; handle cash drops and bank deposits responsibly
Guest Service & Beverage Preparation
Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner while promoting beverage offerings
Take accurate drink orders and prepare beverages using standard recipes with appropriate portion control
Mix, garnish, and present drinks with attention to quality and presentation standards
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items and beverage offerings
Event Management
Review and understand all Banquet Event Orders, including start times and specific beverage requirements
Work collaboratively and efficiently with the banquet service team
Remove inventory and beverage equipment to proper storage areas after events
Retrieve and store bar glassware in designated areas
Communication & Teamwork
Communicate challenges, guest complaints, or special requests promptly to the Banquet Captain
Follow instructions and directions from the Banquet Captain effectively
Practice teamwork principles and maintain "clean as you go" standards
Participate in monthly departmental meetings
Safety & Compliance
Successfully complete T.I.P.S. (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification
Maintain sanitation standards in and around the bar area
Observe all safety procedures during task execution
Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward guests, colleagues, and management
Pay Rate: $12/hour + tips
Qualifications
Basic mathematical and computer skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
Prior bartending experience required.
