As a Guest Relations Porter, you are one of the first and last impressions our guests will haveand every interaction is an opportunity to make their stay unforgettable. You'll bring a warm welcome, a reassuring presence, and a sense of care to every task, from carrying luggage and escorting guests to their cabins to ensuring pathways are safe and inviting. Your attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality help create the seamless, personalized service that makes our property feel like home.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Extend a warm and genuine welcome to arriving guests, assisting with luggage and ensuring a smooth arrival experience.

Escort guests to their accommodations, offering a brief orientation and answering questions to help them settle in comfortably.

Respond promptly and thoughtfully to guest requests, from delivering packages and amenities to assisting with special arrangements.

Safely transport guests around the property or to designated locations in ranch vehicles, offering friendly conversation and helpful information along the way.

Keep pathways clear and safe, assisting with snow removal and seasonal upkeep to ensure a welcoming environment in all conditions.

Support Front Desk operations by running timely errands across the property or to nearby vendors.

Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure cabins are perfectly prepared for arrival.

Assist with check-ins and check-outs, helping make both arrivals and departures seamless.

Maintain a tidy, organized appearance in guest luggage storage areas, ranch vehicles, and the Outpost.

Step in to support other departments during peak seasons, fostering a spirit of teamwork and shared success.

Serve as a professional and approachable representative of Lone Mountain Ranch, embodying warmth, respect, and hospitality in every interaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Must be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles per insurance.

Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and walk long distances over uneven terrain.

Comfortable and confident driving in snow, ice, and varied weather conditions.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a naturally welcoming demeanor.

Positive, solutions-focused attitude with a willingness to adapt to changing needs.

Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequent outdoor work in all weather conditions, including snow, rain, and cold temperatures.

Active, physical role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and driving for extended periods.

Regular use of company vehicles, radios, and communication tools.

Supportive, team-focused culture where collaboration and positivity are valued as much as skill.

Seasonal employees are hired to work for a pre-determined period of less than 12 months. At the end of the temporary period, employment is terminated. If a seasonal employee wishes to be considered for future employment, they may reapply but will be considered a new employee for all purposes.

HOURLY & SEASONAL EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

At Lone Mountain Ranch, in addition to a competitive hourly wage, we offer a range of benefits to make your experience more rewarding.

Seasonal Bonus Program:

All hourly employees are eligible for our seasonal bonus program.

You will receive $1 per hour worked and $1.50 per overtime hour worked.

Employees who terminate or resign before the season ends will not participate.

If the season is shortened due to business levels, you will still receive the bonus.

Employees in short-term contracted positions, like Lone Mountain Rangers, are also eligible.

Staff Cafeteria:

Enjoy access to our staff cafeteria, offering 3 meals a day and a variety of grab-and-go items.

Ranch Gratuity:

In addition to your hourly rate, you will receive a ranch gratuity unique to Lone Mountain Ranch.

Ranch-Wide Activities:

During the summer, you have free access (space permitting) to activities like horseback riding, Lone Mountain Rangers, and Yellowstone National Park tours, as well as yoga.

In winter, enjoy access to 50 miles of cross-country ski trails.

Arrival:

Complimentary transportation is provided to and from the airport.

Opportunity to Transition to Full-Time:

After working a minimum of 1560 hours over a 12-month period, you can transition to full-time status.

Full-time benefits include vacation and sick pay, medical insurance (with the Ranch covering 80% of premiums), and voluntary dental, vision, and life insurance (employees are responsible for 100% of the premiums for these benefits).
