Enswell is an award winning all-day restaurant located in Rittenhouse Square with a full kitchen, cafe, comprehensive cocktail menu, and bottleshop. Owned and operated by Rival Bros Coffee Roasters, Enswell opened in 2023 in the space of a previous Rival Bros cafe on Spruce Street. The restaurant brings together many different passions and services under one roof; Enswell aims to be a place where one might have an upscale meal right next to another enjoying a craft cocktail or phenomenal cup of coffee.
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Brunch Line Cook to join the Enswell team. As a Brunch Line Cook, you will work closely with Executive Chef Andrew Farley and our kitchen team to help execute the culinary vision for Enswell. This candidate will help to operate our kitchen line and prep tasks. They have a growth mindset and are committed to learning and excellence. This candidate works well in a team environment and generates high team morale. They have an eye for detail and maintain high food quality standards.
Culinary
- Knowledge and practice of food ingredients and cooking techniques, including but not limited to egg preparation
- Ability to execute standardized recipes
- Ability to maintain high food quality standards
Teamwork
- Ability to work effectively with Executive Chef and all team members
- Ability receive positive and constructive feedback
- Possess the ability to professionally navigate through conflict and resolve issues effectively
- Communicate with staff and managers to keep the work environment functioning smoothly
Operations
- Work on the line during lunch and brunch services Friday to Tuesday
- Ability to execute called ticket orders
- Understanding of how to use a wide range of cooking equipment
- Ability to receive, stock and organize kitchen items, deliveries, and paper goods
- Strong time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
- Understanding of food safety, health code safety, and cleaning chemical safety and best practices
- Operate in a hygienic manner to help align the restaurant in compliance with City health regulations
- Assist in successful training of new hires by familiarizing them with day to day cafe operations while on shift including: food handling information, general flow of service, customer interaction, opening and closing procedure
Enswells Expectations:
- Attend scheduled shifts on time and in accordance with dress code and appearance guidelines
- Strong knowledge of products sold in the restaurant
- Availability to work a varied and flexible schedule, including the busiest restaurant shifts such as weekends and holidays
Physical Demands:
- This position will require the employee to periodically lift, push, pull or carry items up to 50 lbs in weight (putting away deliveries of boxes, heavy items such as large flour orders, etc)
- This position requires the employee to stand for extended periods of time
- This position will require the employee to periodically climb stairs, ramps or uneven surfaces
- This position will require the employee to work with equipment that is hot and/or sharp
