POSITION TITLE: On Call Server For Events as Needed.

On Call Servers, as part of a team or when working alone and under the direction of the food and beverage managers or assigned captains, serve as leaders in a collaborative environment. This position is an on call opportunity. Though the club is frequently busy with private events, there is no guaranteed minimum hours promised each week. From time to time, the opportunity to join the full-time Dining Room team is offered to On Call servers who excel in their role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have a general knowledge of food allergies and aversions.
  • Have a general knowledge and understanding of Department of Health (DOH) food safety standards
  • Maintain an understanding of the proper steps of service required of all FB-FOH service positions
  • Strong communication and listening skills to effectively deliver accurate messaging to both Club Members and teammates

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in the hospitality industry

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL & ABILITY:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions and interact with membership, guests and colleagues
  • Excellent Emotional Self Awareness under pressure while maintaining a graceful, warm presence.
  • Open availability and a career mentality
  • 1-2 years New York City experience preferred
