Dishwasher (Overnight) - Part Time

The Overnight Dishwasher plays an important role for A’BriTin. This position is responsible for organizing, cleaning, and loading all items for events. The ideal candidate should be a hard worker, self-motivated, and have high-energy. The Overnight Dishwasher is responsible for all loading, cleaning, and organizing as assigned by Operations Management. They play a crucial part of our catering operations department and will work closely in making sure events run smoothly. Essential Functions

  • Dish washing duties.
  • Prep all equipment, inventory, or company property for the next day.
  • Meet organizational goals.
  • Wash and organize dishes within the warehouse.
  • Take inventory levels as needed.
  • Organize, clean, and inspect warehouse as needed.
  • Unload incoming trailers.
  • Load outgoing trailers.
  • Coordinates with catering/serving/bartending/operations staff to ensure client (internal and external) expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe catering operations/kitchen; ensures all sanitation procedures are being followed; ensures adherence to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assists executive chef and COO as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers/clients.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards and ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements – Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Perform additional/other duties when needed or as required as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Required):

  • 1 (one) or more years related experience or equivalent.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Familiarity with commercial dishwasher.
  • ServSafe certified or equivalent.
  • State (Minnesota) Food Handlers certified.
  • Experience in catering, event services, food services, wedding industry setting.
  • Licensure from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or other certifying agency.
  • Bilingual language/skills.

Additional Notes:

  • Prolonged periods of standing/bending in a dishwashing (commercial) environment using hot/cold water temperatures and cleaning chemicals for sanitation of dishes/equipment (frequent).
  • Able to lift and push 50+ pounds (infrequent).

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 Per Hour (Tips Eligible) DOQ.

Department: Catering & Events – Operations

Job Status: Non-Exempt – Part Time

Schedule: Thursday – Sunday 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM (work/work hours to be performed outside of standard business hours may be required). Note: This position requires coverage/weekend coverage during the Catering & Events Season (April – November) – hours to be determined by department leader. Thursday – Sunday are the standard days the Catering & Events Division operate most events. Work assignments and shifts can begin as early as 6:00 PM and end as late as 5:00 AM. This position will have flexibility to vary work schedules/working hours throughout the year but will require a heavier and focused work schedule during the catering and events high-volume season (April – November).

Reporting Structure: Executive Head Chef, Chief Operations Officer, or other assigned leader.
