OVERVIEW
Under limited supervision participates in the inventory, preparation and service of Snack Bar operations while ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to food and beverage safety and with kitchen equipment/tools
- Assist in maintaining inventory, restocking, and proper storage of food and beverage items and supplies
- Prepares, cooks and serves food and beverages in a timely manner
- Participates in maintaining clean dining and service areas; assists with washing dishes and kitchen equipment, etc.
- Takes measures to prevent food waste
- Efficiently operates point of sale system
- Operates a variety of kitchen/serving utensils and supplies while exercising care and safety in the use of all equipment
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must have open availability Monday - Thursday, Sunday
- Requires high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one to two years of food and beverage experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification; will train
- ServSafe Alcohol Certification: will train
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training; will train
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be 21 years of age or older to prepare, serve, and sell alcohol
REPORTING TO THIS POSITION
No supervisory responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically able to operate a variety of kitchen appliances, equipment and utensils, etc. Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and lift/carry weights of up to twenty-five pounds and must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
