What We Are Looking For:

The Corporate Event Planner will work alongside the Senior Manager, Events and Experiences, completing the coordination, execution, and success of all internal Bandwidth events, including but not limited to departmental meetings, company-wide events, and customer-facing events. This position allows the leaders and managers at Bandwidth to focus on their revenue-based missions and event content while the Corporate Event Planner creates, analyzes, and manages the logistics and budget of said events. This position will be responsible for recognizing areas for improvement, evaluating and implementing solutions within the team. This position entails industry networking/research, venue visits, catering, and on-site execution of events from start to finish.

  • This role works 100% in office out of our Raleigh HQ

What You'll Do:

  • Create and own internal Bandwidth events, to include both in and out of office, company-wide and departmental programs
  • Initiate and drive creative event concepts to best energize and optimize Bandwidth team and company-wide meetings/events
  • Project manage corporate events from start to finish and reconcile invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Collaborate with executives, managers, and other Bandwidth team members to plan and execute successful events, and solicit feedback post-event to continually improve the company's event success
  • Plan catering for meetings and events as needed
  • Research and implement opportunities to improve and enhance internal meetings and events
  • Establish relationships with vendors, including attending networking functions, and assist with maintaining a database of vendors for all event needs
  • Negotiate and review vendor, venue, and hotel contracts
  • Maintain seasonal and holiday decor across Bandmate Way and common areas
  • Be an asset to the Recruiting and Marketing departments as needed and as time allows

What You Need:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience:

  • 5-10 years of professional conference, meeting and/or event planning experience

  • Knowledge:

  • Development and execution for a variety of different sized events

  • Budgeting, forecasting and accruing operational costs for events

  • Skills:

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to mentor

  • Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks new opportunities to enhance meetings and events

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proactive approach to project management

  • Ability to work flexible hours occasionally as needed

  • Adaptable to changing circumstances on short notice
