Monday - Thursday* (Friday Optional). Part-time. (20-28hours) Could have more hours if interested in helping in the classroom and/or cleaning.
Day time hours, occasional evening events.
Responsible for creating menu, planning and food shopping. Must be able to shop in a timely manner. Shopping for one week stretch at a time. (Potentially moving to an online ordering system, food will be trucked to off site location, cook will be responsible to meet truck and pick up order and bring back to location. )
Prepare and serve simple homestyle lunches and snacks daily. Must maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness, including dishwashing & basic sanitary practices.
Deliver appropriate quantities of food based on enrollment.
Ensure that all state, licensing, safety and nutritional requirements are met; follows standards of personal hygiene, safety and sanitation. Food Service class is a requirement of the cook.
Must have a current Tdap & MMR vaccination.
Must be willing to get CPR certified.
Qualifications
Must be in good physical condition the kitchen is upstairs and the classrooms are in three separate buildings downstairs!
Previous cooking experience preferred, not required.
Must have a valid drivers license and a vehicle to use for shopping.
Willing to train right person, looking for someone who can commit to the full school year if accepting this position.
Summer hours available but minimal (15-20 hours per week)
$17-$19.50 DOE
