We are seeking an experienced and creative Chef to lead our kosher fish restaurant kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing innovative fish-based dishes that respect kosher standards, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and training staff to maintain consistency and excellence. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development & Innovation:

    • Create unique, seasonal, and culturally authentic kosher fish dishes.

    • Adapt menus to align with customer preferences and dietary requirements.

  • Quality Control:

    • Ensure all food served meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and kosher compliance.

    • Monitor freshness, portion sizes, and consistency of dishes.

  • Staff Training & Leadership:

    • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.

    • Oversee proper kitchen procedures, food handling, and safety protocols.

  • Operations & Compliance:

    • Work closely with the mashgiach (kosher supervisor) to guarantee compliance with kosher laws.

    • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen.

    • Control food costs and minimize waste through smart inventory and purchasing practices.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a kosher or seafood-focused restaurant.

  • Strong understanding of kosher dietary laws and restrictions.

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
