The role you'll contribute:
This role is responsible for creating an amazing experience through patient-centric activities including patient acknowledgement and assistance in the retail clinic environment. The Patient Care Tech is visible at the front desk 85 % of the time and is responsible for the overall patient flow through the clinic.

Ensures the smooth operations of the clinic with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter.
Greets patients with a smile and assists patients through self-scheduling (kiosk/online).
Proactively manages patient waiting area by addressing patient needs and communicates wait times.
Fills patient cancellation slots efficiently in keeping schedules booked for the provider.
Communicates in a cordial, professional manner with patients via phone and in person to meet the patients needs as soon as possible.
Advocates services (range of sick services, flu-shots, vaccines, sports/camp physicals). Ensures all patients are asked to complete customer engagement survey. Generates customer awareness of the clinic and its services in the store by disseminating marketing materials and talking to customers. Ensures marketing materials are visible in patient waiting area.
Assists in maintaining clinic cleanliness by cleaning exam rooms before and after patient use and at the end of the day and other duties as needed. Checks bathrooms for cleanliness and reports to provider as needed.
Facilitates clinic and patient flow for the provider by preparing the patient in the exam room. Collects and enters all pertinent demographic data including insurance information, identification, applicable consent forms, chief complaint, medication list, medical/surgical history. Performs vital signs and point-of-care testing as requested by the provider.
Elevates patient concerns/immediate patient care needs immediately to the Provider on duty in the clinic. Provides service as chaperone for exams as requested by provider and/or patient.
Maintains correspondence, including offline packet and VIS forms.
Performs daily inventory of medical/office supplies and communicates ordering needs to practitioner on duty.
Assists provider in opening and end of day procedures.
Attends scheduled Market Calls and participates in ongoing training as required. Communicates team needs effectively to the Clinic Manager to deliver superior service to our patients.
Adjust schedule to meet market needs within clinic pairing.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year of related work experience
