Swift House Inn Night Front Desk Agent Sign in to apply Middlebury, VT Sign in to apply Swift House Inn is a premium country inn located in Middlebury, Vermont with 20 charming guest rooms and an onsite fine dining restaurant. We are looking for a full-time or part-time front desk agent to be the first point of contact for the inn. Your duties would include greeting guests, taking reservations, answering phone calls, making suggestions to guests for area activities and dining options, helping with luggage, and other administrative tasks as needed. You are organized, methodical, and a talented multi-tasker. You have a warm and outgoing personality that makes guests feel good about choosing to stay at Swift House inn. You execute all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. You're a problem solver who takes pride in your work. Evening shift 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday availability is a must. We are willing to work with the right person to cover ideally 2-3 shifts a week. Responsibilities: Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the front desk Direct visitors to rooms and other locations Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls Take reservations for the inn and the restaurant Process payments Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material Provide accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk Perform other clerical duties such as filing and photocopying Skills: Knowledge and enthusiasm for Middlebury, Addison County, and the surrounding communities Experience as a receptionist is a plus, but we will happily train the right person Technologically savvy and at ease learning new tech skills Professional attitude and clean-cut appearance Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks High School degree or equivalent Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $18.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Ability to Commute: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Middlebury, VT 05753: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person Conversations @Swift House Inn Kick off the conversation by asking about salaries, interviews or anything else @Swift House Inn.
