Minimum qualifications:

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years of relevant receptionist or office clerical experience required.

Must have the ability to communicate clearly and accurately under sometimes-stressful conditions. Ability to use Microsoft and Google suites to prepare correspondence

Desired: Biliterate in English/Spanish.

Required: Must take and pass the Clerical/Administrative Support Level I test.

Required: Must take and pass the District's Bilingual Test prior to being hired. Test date: TBD.

Summary

Performs receptionist duties for the main office. Answers and directs all incoming calls on multi-phone system. Receives callers, determines nature of business and directs callers to appropriate destination. Troubleshoots problems and answers questions related to the computerized phone system. Performs routine clerical duties that can be completed in an environment of constant interruptions. Administers and updates the substitute management system.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Position is clerical in nature requiring previous experience operating a high volume telephone switchboard and knowledge of District operations. Advancement may occur to positions along the Administrative Clerk and Administrative Secretary career ladders with the appropriate skills and experience.

Comments and Other Information

The District offers $780 per month for single and $950 family (based on a 1.0 FTE) toward the benefit package which includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus.
