St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for an engaging and professional Cocktail Server who will be responsible for providing a memorable and luxurious dining experience for guests in T-Zero, the Hotel lobby, and on the outdoor terrace.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Understand the importance of, and adhere to, the Hotel’s luxury service standards.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties; inspect service stations and guest tables to ensure they have been set to standard specifications.
  • Follow appropriate service sequences and timing protocols.
  • Request guest identification when legal drinking age is in question.
  • Accurately use the Point of Sales (POS) system and handle guest payments/transactions correctly and honestly.
  • Run food to tables and approach every guest with eye contact and a sincere and friendly greeting; use guest names at every opportunity.
  • Clear dirty dishes from vacant guest tables and promptly reset for incoming guests.
  • Possess thorough and up-to-date knowledge of all Bar and menu information in order to accurately answer guest inquiries.
  • Perform side work whenever possible to ensure proper items remain available during service.
  • Other duties as required by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous serving experience required. Fine dining/hospitality experience is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time, have excellent verbal communication skills, and able to lift/push/pull up to 15 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Ideal candidate is someone friendly and service-oriented who can work well both as part of a team and autonomously. Must be able to provide fast and courteous service while maintaining luxury standards.
  • Valid TIPS certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
  • Must have flexible availability and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
