About Us: The Ground is a lively, community-rooted cafe known for great coffee, beautiful plants, and a food program that's growing fast. We're expanding our made-to-order menu and looking for an experienced hot line cook or grill cook to join our small but mighty kitchen team.

About the Role: Were looking for someone confident on the lineespecially during a rushwho can take the lead on breakfast sandwiches, hot specials, and other made-to-order cafe items , while supporting overall prep and kitchen upkeep. This is a hands-on position ideal for a line cook whos excited to contribute to a creative, quality-focused food program in a collaborative setting.

Youll be a great fit if you:

• Have solid line or grill experience , preferably in a fast-paced cafe or kitchen

• Know your way around a breakfast sandwich station and hot cook-to-order service

• Take pride in cleanliness, efficiency, and consistency

• Always show up on time , ready to work and communicate clearly

• Are reliable, responsive, and take responsibility for your station

• Work well under pressure and with a small, supportive team

• Are open to cross-training and stepping into other kitchen tasks (prep, inventory, dish help, etc.)

What Youll Do:

• Execute made-to-order hot sandwiches and other cafe menu items with speed and quality

• Handle daily prep, from chopping and roasting to assembling sauces or spreads

• Keep your station stocked, clean, and running smoothly throughout the shift

• Help with inventory, receiving, and rotating product

• Maintain health code and food safety standards

• Jump in on general kitchen duties when needed (dishes, cleaning, restocking)
