Summary
Reports to the CFO who is also assisted by the Assistant to the CEO. Greets internal and external customers entering the BCO building. Provides reception duties as directed.

BCO Reception/Lobby Duties:
- Communicates identified problems to appropriate supervisory personnel, participates in corrective action, and deals with them accordingly.
- Accepts deliveries and notifies department and/or individual.
- Receives, sorts and delivers courier mail.
- Retrieves mail for CHA in the mailbox outside for US mail delivery.
- Accepts work assignments throughout BCO for all departments such as: Addressing and stuffing envelopes. Reviewing the South Bend Tribune and Elkhart Truth comparing in Blackbaud looking for donors who have passed away (Beacon Health Foundation). Prepare 1 year service award cups for monthly distribution (HR). Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:
- Other assignments or projects that can be completed at the front reception desk.
- Cover reception upon request either before or after assigned hours.
- Retains confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
- Completes other job related duties and projects as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience
- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must be a minimum of 17 years of age.
Knowledge & Skills
- High school courses, with training in communications and English.
- Ability to read, write legibly, and perform and understand detailed instructions.
- Ability to type 30 wpm preferred.
- Has a good grasp of the computer and able to access computer files as needed.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, greet visitors and staff entering the BCO building in a friendly, professional, manner.
- Good written and oral communication skills

- Works in professional office environment.
Physical Demands
- Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position.
