Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining campus buildings utilizing the carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades as well as housekeeping and floor maintenance.
Purpose of the Position
This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks. It will also oversee the work of assigned housekeeping workers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position
- Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students; good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to direct work assignments
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies
- Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, and scrubbing machine
- Ability to work from 5 am - 2 pm, Monday - Friday
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required
Education Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma
- Valid driver's license
Experience Required:
- Experience overseeing the work of others
- Experience with cleaning methods and cleaning supplies
- Experience using a vacuum cleaner
- Experience using a scrubbing machine, floor buffer or related floor maintenance equipment
Additional Consideration(s)

- Experience working at a university
Salary Information Starting at $32,672 Commensurate with Education and Experience CNU Information
