At La Casita Restaurant, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, and our cashiers play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient service. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a cashier.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Customer Interaction:** Greet guests warmly and with a friendly demeanor. Provide assistance and answer any questions regarding the menu, restaurant services, or general inquiries.

- **Transaction Processing:** Accurately process customer payments through cash, credit, or debit transactions. Ensure all transactions are handled efficiently and with attention to detail.

- **Order Management:** Collaborate with kitchen staff to confirm orders and modifications. Handle any special requests and ensure accuracy in order preparation.

- **Cash Handling:** Maintain accuracy in cash handling procedures, including balancing the cash register at the start and end of each shift. Report any discrepancies to management promptly.

- **Cleanliness and Organization:** Keep the cash register area clean and organized. Regularly sanitize surfaces and maintain a tidy working environment.

- **Problem Resolution:** Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a polite and professional manner. Escalate problems to management when necessary.

- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other team members to provide seamless service and support restaurant operations. Assist with bussing tables and other tasks as needed.

- **Upselling and Promotions:** Inform guests about current promotions, menu specials, and new items. Provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience.

- **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with restaurant policies and procedures.

**Skills and Qualifications:**

- **Customer Service Excellence:** Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

- **Attention to Detail:** Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and orders.

- **Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.

- **Basic Math Skills:** Proficiency in basic arithmetic for processing payments and balancing the cash register.

- **Problem-Solving:** Ability to think critically and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

- **Reliability:** Punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork.

- **Experience:** Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required. We will provide training to the right candidate.

Salary $300.00 for 6 days of work from 5:00am- 12:30pm
