AS638 - Thursday-Monday Housekeeper - Upper East Side

A lovely family of five on the Upper East Side is seeking a full-time housekeeper to assist with the care of their home. The schedule for this role is Thursday through Monday, with a guaranteed 50 hours per week, and one sleepover per week (Friday night). The detailed schedule is as follows- Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday 12pm-8pm (plus sleepover), Saturday 7am-7pm, Sunday 8am-8pm, Monday 9am-5pm. The family has three children ages 7, 5, and 2- the family has a full-time nanny, but the housekeeper should be comfortable babysitting 1-2 nights per week, and assisting with some light childcare duties as needed, particularly over the weekend.

• Deep cleaning
• Organization and tidying
• Family laundry and ironing
• Basic household errands
• Grocery shopping as needed
• Assisting with serving/cleanup when the family hosts dinner parties
• Overseeing childrens bath/bedtime routines 1-2 nights per week
• Preparing basic childrens meals
• Accompanying children to activities
• Engaging and playing with the children, particularly on the weekend

• Flexible, with excellent attention to detail
• Experience with and comfort working with children
• Ability to sort laundry and determine which items must be sent for specialty service
• Ability to work well on a team- this role will overlap with a full-time housekeeper, full-time nanny, and involved parents
• Comfort working with high end fabrics and furnishings
• Nurturing and loving, engaging with children
• Great communication skills

• US work Authorization
• Flexibility for date nights several times per month
• Must sleep over every Friday
• Must live-in 5 days per week in the Hamptons from late June through Labor Day
• Availability for travel 1-2 times per year is NOT required, but would be a bonus
• Driving and swimming are NOT required, but would be an asset

• $40-45/hour gross (Annual compensation estimated to be in the $130-150k range)
• $100/night for sleeping over (whether in NYC, Hamptons, or traveling)
• Performance based summer and end of year bonuses
• Federal holidays, 10 days paid vacation days + 5 sick/personal days to take as needed
