Job Details ZZ's Club at Hudson Yards is now hiring an experienced Lead Line Cook.
A private membership club that originated in Miami, ZZ's Club is an exclusive, modern social space designed for those individuals who appreciate the highest caliber of culinary, hospitality and entertainment. We are a home away from home for our members, a distinguished clientele that expects precise execution and exquisite attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing
sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Leading the execution of private and large scale events
Assisting the Chef de Cuisine with any necessary tasks to ensure a smooth service
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Train and mentor line cooks and prep staff, providing guidance and support
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 3 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required

- Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Strong communication skills a must
COMPENSATION: $28.00 - $30.00 / hour
