Machine shop cleaner/General shop help

Progressive independently owned and operated CNC Machine shop seeking a shop helper with a strong desire to learn and grow within the company. We strive to have an honest and open workforce and encourage teamwork, growth and promotion from within. This is a fast paced machine shop with a mix of prototype and production workflow.

This is an entry-level positing for the right candidate. The goal is to have the right candidate have growth within the company and the ability to excel.

Requirements:

Must be able to follow instructions and maintain notes as needed.

No Tools required. We will train and provide all tools needed for the starting position.

Must have an understanding of basic mathematics.

Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.

Must have a positives attitude

Must be eager to grow

Job Responsibilities:.

Perform various shop operations such as part washing, general basic machine maintenance, and cleaning
Exercise care and attention to detail in the completion of assigned tasks.
Maintain records of incoming material and ability to designate material for incoming work.
Load and Unload truck deliveries using Forklift.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods at a time.
Required to work from instructions, both written and oral.
Maintain safe and clean work area
Comply with personal safety requirements
Will work with some Hazardous Materials
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Attention to detail
Comfortable in a machine shop environment
Must be able to communicate in English
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Graduate from a Technical School.
Strong Mechanical skills.
1-year experience in aerospace parts manufacturing or similar shop environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing standards.
