  • To perform janitorial tasks in the common and office areas of the plant
  • Use chemicals to sanitize and clean facility.
  • Maintain all restrooms in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
  • Maintain all locker rooms in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
  • Maintain all offices in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
  • Maintain breakroom in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
  • Remove all refuse from the interior of the plant and deposit in containers outside of the plant.
  • Manage inventory levels of Sanitation, Safety, GMP, Cleaning items
  • Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of the position.
  • Follow all Dairy Farmers of America GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
  • Follow all safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure the following facility programs are followed: Safety, Food Safety, GMP, Preventive Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Sanitation
  • Perform related duties as required or specified by Quality Assurance Manager or Plant Manager
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience Requirements: Required: None - Preferred: Minimum one year experience in the similar field

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • $19.48/hr
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to carrying out instructions.
  • Ability to use simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers
  • Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and writing, and communicate with fellow employees.
  • Must be able to use plant equipment and office automation equipment.
  • Takes on additional responsibility when both big and small tasks need to be done.
  • Firmly adheres to the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America. Exhibits honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Willing to work with others, collaborating and compromising where necessary and promptly share relevant information with others.
  • Is open to changing situations and is willing to perform all tasks when and where assigned.
  • Able and willing to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision
  • Maintains a positive "can do" outlook, rebounds quickly from frustrations and unpleasantness, and maintains composure and friendly demeanor while dealing with stressful situations.
