Job Title: Hospital Housekeeper

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Hospital Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and support staff in a hospital setting. This role involves cleaning rooms, maintaining the general upkeep of facilities, and supporting hospital staff as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working around patients at various stages of life and handling soiled laundry and other hazards typical in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities

+ Clean rooms and stations within the hospital.

+ Maintain the general upkeep of hospital facilities.

+ Support hospital staff as needed.

+ Engage in scripted conversations and interact pleasantly with patients.

+ Handle soiled laundry, bodily fluids, and other potential hazards.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in janitorial or custodial work.

+ Strong customer service skills.

+ Ability to work on feet for 8 hours a day.

+ Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

+ Fluency in English for speaking and comprehension.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience as a janitor or housekeeper in a hospital, hotel, or similar setting.

+ A great personality suited for patient-facing situations.

Work Environment

The work environment involves various departments within the hospital, including patient areas. Candidates will use cleaning supplies and follow standard operating procedures to complete room checks. Shifts include days (7:00 am 3:30 pm) and swings (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm), with weekend work required. The role involves physical work, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Puyallup, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
