Position Supervisor: Andre Sylvester Department/Office: Performing Art Center (PAC) Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, 0-19.5 hours per week depending on department need, availability of funds and student eligibility. Plus tips both in cash and credit card. This position will gain marketable work experience by working with Yavapai College staff, Faculty and affiliates in a group effort to support the mission, goals and values of Yavapai College. The Concession worker will support the PAC by performing a variety of duties in the Yava Java concessions area by: Providing excellent customer service, while maintaining sanitary conditions of a food service operation. Operating food service machines, such as coffee/tea brewers, popcorn machines, hot beverage dispenser. Assessing customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations. Familiarity with safety and preventative measures regarding proper food handling, spills and clean ups. Operating point of sale system, including cash and credit card transactions. Strong organization, prioritization and efficiency skills are required to manage high traffic concessions. Minimum Expectations & Requirements All hiring documents must be completed prior to first work shift, including acceptable documentation for the I-9 Form. Candidates will need to complete the following within one month of being hired, expense for all required training certification and training will be covered by YC PAC: Yavapai County Food Handling Training. Must successfully complete alcohol awareness training provided by the Yavapai College Police Department. Cards/Licensure must be kept current during duration of employment. Must abide by all State and County liquor and food handling regulations while on duty. Essential Functions The start date, to occur no sooner than July 1st of the current aid year, of this position will be determined by the hiring supervisor after an applicant is hired. This position has a standard end of assignment date of June 30th of the current aid year. Assignment may end sooner or be extended depending FWS eligibility, availability and/or department need.
