Marcelinos Seaport Barback

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Barback to support the bartending team at our upscale cocktail bar. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, refined environment and understands the importance of precision, presentation, and discretion. As a barback, youll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring a seamless guest experience by keeping the bar stocked, clean, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders with setup and breakdown of the bar before and after service
• Restock spirits, wines, beer, mixers, ice, and fresh garnishes throughout service
• Prepare bar tools, glassware, and garnishes to the standards set by the lead mixologist
• Maintain bar cleanliness: wipe counters, polish glassware, and manage trash/recyclables
• Support with bar prep, such as juicing, batching syrups, or handling kegs
• Ensure inventory is rotated, labeled, and stored properly
• Respond promptly to bartender requests during service
• Uphold health and safety guidelines at all times
• Occasionally assist in minor guest-facing duties such as delivering drinks or clearing bar tops when needed

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a high-volume or high-end bar preferred
• Strong understanding of bar hygiene, organization, and cocktail prep basics
• Exceptional work ethic and the ability to anticipate the needs of bartenders
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for long periods
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Passion for craft cocktails and interest in mixology a plus
