Corporate Barista - $20 Mon-Fri Weekends OFF

Our client, a luxury events venue with multiple locations in NYC, is looking for an experienced, professional and friendly Barista for one of their locations in Midtown East. This position operates onsite and requires a flexible schedule.

Pay: $20 per hour

Hours of operations: Monday - Thursday: 7:30AM - 4:00PM | Friday: 7:00AM - 1:00PM/2:00PM

Responsibilities:
Preparing a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages focusing on delivering delicious drinks

Being friendly, outgoing, and possessing good communication skills

Entering and completing customers orders on point-of-sale computer system; accepting various types of payment and making change

You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure

Properly making hot and cold beverages with consistent quality

Maintaining complete knowledge of our products and preparation and Steps-of-Service standards

Interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner; ensuring guests complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations

Performing other duties as directed

Taking pride in your personal appearance; reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy

Qualifications:

Basic mathematical skills, ability to make change

Basic reading and writing skills

Excellent and effective communication skills

High school degree

Previous barista experience required

Latte art ability is a huge plus

Must be able to work autonomously

Multi-task oriented

Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls in repetitive motions
Must be comfortable with dealing with food deliveries pastries, cleaning the svc area, wipe down and replenishing food
