Major Function:

Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Join our team as a Maintenance Repair Worker, where your hands-on skills will make a tangible impact every day. In this role, you'll tackle a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple craft areas, ensuring our facilities remain in top condition. Your ability to assess issues, devise effective solutions, and work both independently and collaboratively will be key to your success.

What you'll do:

  • Perform general repairs across various craft areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Assess issues and determine effective solutions, often devising your own methods to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Work closely with skilled craftsmen and supervisors, receiving assignments and guidance to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Perform rough maintenance and repair work, with all tasks subject to inspection to maintain high standards.
  • Handle a wide variety of maintenance and installation work, requiring flexibility and a broad skill set.
  • Receive assignments verbally and may be provided with sketches; follow specific instructions to complete tasks.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Have completed the eighth (8th) grade

AND

  • Have at least two (2) years of experience in performing a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks as a helper to a journeyman or as a handyman in at least one of the major trades. NOTE: Directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for year basis for the required education.

Salary Range

$13.3916 to $36.3390/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $22.2699/hour

Driver's License Requirements

Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.

Additional Information

Work Schedule: Hours/shifts are 7am to 4pm or 8am - 5pm; may include weekends based on the workload of Parking Ambassador Program.
