Grill Cook Job Description

Pay: $15-$17/hour (including tips)

Shift : Part time. AM shift: between 9am-4pm. Mon-Sat, some holidays.

Eligible for $200 referral bonus!

Must be able to work at least 3 shifts a week, AM or PM, weekend or holiday availability

Job Summary: Tower Deli & Grill is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. You will have the opportunity to cook our amazing food and hav a blast in our newly renovated kitchen! This is a great position for anyone who enjoys working behind the scenes and learning great skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, and hot menu items according to specifications.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, slicers, and food prep stations.
  • Be professional, efficient, safe, present high-quality food, and have fun!
  • Keep workstations clean and follow food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with prep work, including slicing meats, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients.
  • Communicate with management when new produce is needed to fill inventory needs.
  • Collaborate with other staff to maintain smooth operations during service.
  • Follow all cooking standards including consistency in portion sizes and presentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Kitchen or food service experience required.
  • Proven ability to use basic kitchen tools, including knives and slicers.
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Able to follow directions and be a team player.
  • Dependable and focused.
  • Physical requirements include: ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, manipulate small objects, repetitive wrist movement.
  • Must have a food handlers permit (can obtain after offer is made).
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must be at least 16 years of age with AM availability.
