Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Quincy, IL

Pay Range: $52,000

Shift: 1st shift

What's the Job?

• Perform skilled maintenance tasks including repairing and maintaining screw conveyors, elevator legs, and belt conveyors.
• Execute welding, cutting, and brazing as needed for equipment repairs.
• Replace and install motors, ensuring optimal functionality of machinery.
• Conduct minor fabrication and installation of gear reducers and guards.
• Perform machine lubrication and preventive maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate and maintain portable power tools and hand tools.
• Familiarity with welding and cutting techniques.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and company policies.
• Ability to read and interpret sketches and simple blueprints.
