Forest Meadows Cemeteries, a family-owned and operated cemetery in Gainesville, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Backhoe Operator & Groundskeeper to join our team. This role is essential in helping us maintain the beauty, dignity, and functionality of our grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate backhoe equipment safely and efficiently for grave opening and closing, Marking graves.

Perform general landscaping and grounds maintenance (mowing, trimming, planting, etc.)

Assist with setting up for services and events

Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition

Ensure compliance with all safety and cemetery regulations

Qualifications:
Previous experience operating heavy machinery (especially backhoes)

Valid drivers license; CDL is a plus

Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions

Respectful, compassionate demeanor appropriate for a cemetery setting

Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
