Copain is expanding! Were opening a brand-new full-service concept in Ballantyne, and were looking for an experienced, professional Lead Host to join our opening team. Hosts are the first and last point of contact for guests, playing a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming dining experience. This position is responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, managing waitlists, and assisting in maintaining an organized flow of service. Hosts work closely with the management team to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience for every guest, reflecting the standards and culture of the restaurant and Noble Food & Pursuits.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in high-volume restaurants
  • Mastery of OpenTable reservation system
  • A warm, welcoming personality with a strong sense of hospitality
  • Excellent multitasking skills able to manage reservations, greet guests, coordinate table flow, and maintain a polished front-of-house presence
  • Leadership ability to set the tone for the host team and uphold service standards

Responsibilities:

  • Greetguests warmly upon arrival, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Managereservations and waitlists, providing accurate wait times during busy periods.
  • Coordinateguest seating in collaboration with the service and management teams tooptimize table turnover and guest experience.
  • Communicatewith guests to ensure special requests or needs are accommodated, includingaccessibility or large party requests.
  • Maintaincleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
  • Answerphones professionally, assisting with inquiries, reservations, and takeoutorders as needed.
  • Assistwith managing guest flow and informing servers and kitchen staff of any changesto seating plans or reservation schedules.
  • Maintaina deep knowledge of the restaurants menu, hours of operation, and other keydetails to assist guests effectively.
  • Provideexceptional hospitality by resolving guest inquiries, complaints, or concernspromptly and professionally.
  • Assistwith opening and closing tasks, including setting up and breaking down the hoststand and entrance area.

Additional Skills and Responsibilities

  • 2+years experience in a guest-facing role, preferably in a high-volumerestaurant environment.
  • Abilityto remain calm under pressure and handle a variety of guest interactions withpoise and professionalism.
  • Flexibilityto work varied schedules, this position will be mostly nights with weekends required.

Physical Demands andWork Environment

  • Abilityto stand for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift, carry, or move itemsup to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, or stooping asrequired to perform tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentwith varying noise levels.
  • Exposed to hot and cold temperatures, such aswhen working near doorways or outdoor seating areas.
