Houseman Staff Level I

The Sonnenalp Hotel is looking for a Houseman Staff Level I with the desired start date of September 17th, 2025.

Wage: $20.00/ hour

Primary Purpose of Position

To assist the housekeeping department with delivery and pick-up of laundry maintain ownership units and common areas and all related tasks. To extend the highest level of personalized service to all guests and patrons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Will report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain a teamwork orientation towards co-workers.
• Serves guests in every possible way, exhibiting a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
• Controls the flow of laundry and all necessary equipment.
• Stays in contact with the Housekeeping Supervisor and the Property management to insure guest satisfaction in a timely manner.
• Assists Room attendant staff with cleaning the residences.
• Assists guests with all housekeeping needs.
• Ensures a timely turn around of residences.
• Responsible for guest long term storage needs
• Responsible for restocking and refilling all cleaning supplies.
• Delivers and picks up guests misc. needs or items.
• Is able to give owners and guest basic information about the property.
• Has a basic understanding of the in-room electronics.
• Reports any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Follows accurate key control procedures including sign-in and out of all keys and radios.
• Communicates constantly with Front Office and Concierge to insure smooth operation of check-in and check out procedures

Education/Experience

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Prior hotel experience preferred
• Cleaning experience preferred but not required

Special Skills/Qualifications

• Basic spoken English
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Valid work authorization for the U.S.A

Essential Physical Requirements

This role involves demanding physical abilities including but not limited to:

• Must be able to stand for duration of shift
• Ability to kneel, bend, crawl
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals
• This is a physically demanding job requiring frequent walking, standing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching and lifting objects less than 50 lbs, pushing objects up to 100 lbs.
