Essential Functions
Ensure all housekeeping activities are completed nightly.
Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
Oversee set-ups and take-downs to ensure timely completion.
Respond promptly to housekeeping requests or emergencies.
Maintain assigned work areas in a safe and clean manner.
Train staff on cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling.
Ensure infection control and universal precautions practices are followed.
Report hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the Manager or Supervisor.
Provide feedback to Manager and Supervisor regarding departmental issues, resident/staff concerns, and employee performance.
Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and a positive approach to changing responsibilities.
Follow Presbyterian Homes Corporate Compliance policies, including confidentiality, security of information, and concern for resident well-being.
Skills/Qualifications
Three to five years of housekeeping experience; leadership experience preferred.
Advanced cleaning skills with knowledge of proper procedures and safe chemical handling.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to speak and understand English clearly.
Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and train staff.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, stretching, bending, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., and walking.
Comfortable operating housekeeping equipment such as carts, vacuums, and other tools.
Ability to work in environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals, hazardous waste (blood, body fluids), and unpleasant odors.
