Duties
Help
This position is subject to the possibility of workdays on weekends and holidays, as well as, roting shifts, often consisting of other than normal duty hours. The staff member may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, including on an emergency basis.
Ensures security of all guests is maintained all times.
Ensures guest privacy is maintained all times.
The incumbent is responsible for a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks involving standard methods reled to the operion and maintenance of physical plant facilities.
Performing work in least two of the following trades in the maintenance and repair of buildings and reled fixtures. Maintains work order log and follow up as required. Reports stus to supervisor. Logs trouble calls with contractor as approprie.
Plumbing: Makes basic plumbing repairs to sinks, faucets, commodes, tanks, urinals, P-traps, shut-off valves on washing machines and wer supply th can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, resealing, replacing defective parts or units, installing wer heers, garbage disposals, faucets and sinks.
Washer/Dryer repair: Performs routine maintenance on washers and dryers to include cleaning lint ducts and vents, replacing hoses and fittings as required, and referring more complex problems to supervisor for action.
Heing, Ventilion and Air Conditioning (HVAC): Recognizes the cause of faulty equipment and assists making repairs on a variety of HVAC units as approprie.
Electrical: Recognizes and reports electrical problems making repairs as approprie. Replaces fluorescent and incandescent ballasts, bulbs and tubes.
Carpentry: Measures, cuts and constructs or repairs wood or wood substitute items. Conducts basic carpentry repairs such as repairing or replacing screens; window and door frames; molding and trim; and repair and replacement of drywall or similar products.
Painting: Preparion of areas and standard coing methods such as brushing, rolling and spraying and ensure surfaces are fully coed, protected and free from drips and runs.
Performs other reled duties as assigned.

Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position, and maintain a valid ste issued driver's license in order to transport prons off base.

Must have a working knowledge of various maintenance procedures reled to upkeep of buildings, grounds and reled structures with fixtures and utilities.

A qualified candide must possess:
Minimum two years of experience with demonstred skill in two areas (Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Painting). Knowledge in the applicable combinion of trades sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulions concerning procedures, tools, mechanical and electrified equipment, commonly used chemicals and basic safe work practices is required.
Must possess a welcoming manner and positive titude; demonstre effective communicion skills; professionally interact with guests; answering guest questions concerning hotel facilities; and provide informion about local tractions. Provide assistance in handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary.
