Part time, experienced server for family owned/operated restaurant

We are looking for server(s) to join our team at The Chalet Restaurant. Position at this time will be for part time, 2-3 shifts/wk

Located on the South Hill, we are a family owned and operated establishment that has been in business over 40 years. We regularly see large parties, have busy weekends & regulars who have been coming in for decades. We serve American diner comfort food; breakfast served all day!

Must have experience waiting tables, using a POS system, be able to work weekends regularly, have/or get a WA state food handler card, & non-slip, non-marking shoes.
Duties include: greeting & seating customers, taking & bringing orders for drinks & food, bussing tables, stocking, light cleaning/side work, making coffee, answering phone- taking to-go orders or large party reservations, slicing/serving pie & desserts, opening restaurant to prepare for customers, closing the restaurant ensuring ready for business next day. Servers keep their own bank to make change on cash tickets.
Weekends can be busy, must be able to work fast paced with a smile! Friendly, fast, and gracious describes the type of service we want to provide. Pay is minimum wage + tips (%25 of tips go to a pool for back of house and hosts). With a friendly demeanor, good service, & a smile, you can make great tips here!
Reliability, punctuality, positivity, & the ability to work both independently & with a team are traits we are looking for. We have established systems & need an enthusiastic server who can warm up to our many regulars!
We are open Mon- Fri 7:00AM-3:00PM, Sat & Sun 7:00AM-2:00PM, duties begin 15min before open and 5-30min after close (depending on shifts).
