Responsibilities
Preparing beverages
Making espresso-based and non-espresso-based drinks (e.g., matcha, lattes, cappuccinos, cortados)
Brewing drip coffee and tea
Following standardized recipes
Understanding milk steaming, foam consistency, and latte art
Customer Service
Greeting customers warmly
Taking orders
Answering questions about the menu and/or shop
Handling customer concerns orplaints in a professional manner
Provide a positive first impression and customer service experience
Running food out to customers
Operating Equipment
Using espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment
Cleaning and maintaining the coffee equipment
ing malfunctions or maintenance issues/needs
Cleaning and Sanitation
Keeping the bar and prep areas clean andanized
Cleaning equipment regularly
Following health and safety guidelines for food service
Restocking supplies (e.g., cups, lids, syrups, milks)
Inventory and Stock Management
Monitoring levels of coffee beans, milks, syrups, and other essentials
Rotating stock to ensure freshness
Assisting with receiving deliveries
Team Collaboration
Communicating effectively with coworkers and management
Assisting teammates during busy periods
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a coffee shop
Must be able to work a variety of shifts (openings, mid-day, and closing) from week to week
Weekend availability
Able to lift 40 lbs regularly
