KP728 - Nanny/Family Assistant/Housekeeper - Laguna Beach, CA

A family in Laguna Beach is seeking a nanny/ family assistant/ housekeeper, starting asap. The schedule will be a guaranteed 40 hours per week - 8:30am-5:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (incurring 3 x hours of overtime), 10:30am-5:30pm on Thursday, and 8:30am-2:30pm on Friday.

Responsibilities will be split between 2 x households, one of which includes care of a 10-year-old boy (see correlating responsibilities below). The other household belongs to the sons grandmother, and a comprehensive list of responsibilities will be provided to candidates upon request, but will mainly pertain to food prep, keeping the household tidy and organized, laundry, running errands, feeding plants, etc.

Daily

• Tidy and organize the childs room
• Pick up the child from the bus
• Make a snack and put vitamins together
• Clean lunchbox and water bottle
• Assist with homework, especially math homework
• Play with a child (no screens)
• Oversee as the child cleans up
• Oversee play dates
• Get the child ready for bed and ready for the next day (making sure his homework or library books are in the backpack)
• Take out trash, recycling, and green waste when full
• Open packages and take out the packaging

Weekly

• Wash, fold, and put away laundry for the family on Monday and Thursday
• Water plants 1 x a week
• Clean and organize the childs toys and books (priority is for him to clean up his own messes, but sometimes some extra help is needed)
• Tidy up the childs clothes
• Check on the childs snacks and add to the grocery list if any are low

Monthly/Sometimes

• Pack the child for trips.
• Keep track of the childs medicines and vitamins, and let the family know when to order more.
• Fill soaps and lotions around the house
• Organize the childs clothes and pull out any worn or too-small clothes
• Family errands (examples: dry cleaning, packages, donations, light grocery shop)
• Help to decorate and take down decorations for holidays
• Help prepare for parties
• Organizing jobs (pantry, garage, storage, closet)
• Occasional evening babysitting for parent date nights, work, etc.
• Gift wrapping

• Previous experience working in the context of a nanny/ family assistant/ housekeeper
• Previous experience working with children with ADHD is a huge plus

• US passport, Green Card, or EAC
• Able to commute to Laguna Beach
• Trustline registered (or willing to register ASAP)
• Available to start ASAP

• $35-$40/hr
• 10 PTO days annual
• Employer pays 85% health, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits (employee contributes 15%)
