Spirit Mountain is hiring Bartenders and Servers to join our team for the winter ski season! This is your opportunity to work in a fun and dynamic environment across any one of our restaurants or bars. As a Bartender/Server, you will provide an excellent dining and drinking experience for our guests, ensuring they enjoy their time on the mountain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including crafting cocktails, while following all food and beverage regulations.
- Interact with customers by taking orders, making food and drink recommendations, and ensuring a friendly, guest-focused experience.
- Verify identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
- Restock and maintain bar inventory, keeping the bar area clean and polished.
- Operate the point of sale system to process payments (cash, credit cards, discounts, etc.) and handle money responsibly in accordance with company policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Numeracy and cash-handling skills and the ability to reconcile their register using the Point of Sale System
- Able to work flexible schedules
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven working experience as a bartender.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
- Computer literacy.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
- Relevant training certificate.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
- Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift to 30 pounds.
