Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper

The Role
The housekeeper has the overall responsibility of ensuring the household is cleaned, maintained and organized to the highest standards and per the familys specifications and preferences. In addition to cleaning and general tidying, the housekeeper is also expected to assist with household laundry (including ironing), basic cooking when the family is residence, proactive monitoring of household repairs, and overseeing maintenance appointments.

Job Title: Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper
Reporting to: The Principal and Family Office
Start:ASAP
Location: Upper East Side, Manhattan, and one day a week at their another apartment
Hours:Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, occasional Saturday as needed (must be flexible
when the family is in-residence)
Salary:$35-$40/hour, dependent on experience
Benefits: Medical stipend, PTO, main federal holidays as offered by the family
Main Residence:Large apartment on the Upper East Side
Second residence:Smaller apartment (not far from the main residence)
The Staff: Family office

Household Cleaning
Ensuring all aspects of the propertyinteriors as well as exteriorsare maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times while referencing cleaning checklist
Ensuring specified products are used on the appropriate surfaces
Tidying all rooms to ensure items are neatly stored and rooms look immaculate at all times
Tidying and dusting the outdoor spaces of the property, including the terrace and rooms immediately adjacent
Looking after the plants and flowers throughout the home
Arranging professional cleaning of furnishings as needed

Supplies
Ordering and organizing supplies, toiletries, and groceries as needed
Recording and filing receipts efficiently

Deliveries
Unpacking and putting away household deliveries
Organizing returns as needed

Cooking
Basic light cooking for the family, when they are in-residence as needed
Table setting and clearing

Laundry & Clothing Care
Assisting with laundry, hand washing, ironing, and dry cleaning
Ensuring linens are freshened daily, or as needed
Properly folding and organizing drawers and closets
Managing the wardrobes, keeping them organized and neat
Organizing dry cleaning as appropriate, and arranging collections and drop offs

Contractors & Vendors
Greeting guests, couriers, and tradesmen at the door and overseeing appointments when necessary
Regularly checking all items in the home are in good working order and reporting problems in a timely manner
Arranging appointments with contractors

Supporting the Family & Team
Ensuring all guests are always excellently looked after
Answering the telephone and taking messages
Preparing for family travel, assisting with packing and unpacking luggage

Requirements
Legally able to work within the United States
Required to be flexible to work between the two apartments in NYC
English proficiency (read, write, and speak)
Excellent references required
Willingness to undergo background checks and sign a non-disclosure agreement
