Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced barista to join our team and provide exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, a strong knowledge of various brewing methods, and the ability to create beautiful latte art. The barista will be responsible for taking customer orders, preparing and serving coffee beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the cafe, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and take their orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment with precision and care.
- Steam milk to the appropriate temperature and texture for each drink, ensuring consistently high-quality beverages.
- Create and serve beautiful latte art to enhance the customer experience.
- Keep the cafe clean and organized at all times, including wiping down counters, tables, and equipment, and emptying trash as needed.
- Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies as needed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a barista in a fast-paced cafe or coffee shop.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
- Ability to create beautiful latte art is highly desired.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Event Staff/Food Service
When working in Event Staff or Food Service Position through Bluecrew, you may be expected to do any and all of the following:
- Working independently or in a team to cook, prepare, serve, or transport food items
- Engaging with customers while operating a point of sale machine or cash register in a professional and courteous manner
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, or other items at the start or end of your shift
- Work on your feet, either stationary or constantly moving for the full shift
- Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities at times, as required by the immediate supervisor
- Comfortable working in a busy and at times hectic environment
- There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
- Note for that for any event staff position that requires handling food, you will need to follow GMP guidelines which include keeping your hair up, neatly trimmed fingernails, and you may be required to cover any facial hair.
