Role Overview: The Action Station Cook is a valued Dining Services Residential Department member responsible for assisting in producing over 10,000 meals every week. Their primary duty is to create a variety of high-quality, nutritious cultural meals that are properly seasoned and prepared to meet the expected standards.This position is responsible for the Highlighted Globe Station Service .

Core Responsibilities:

• Culinary Support: Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Action Station Cook prepares food items according to established recipes and menus in a way that preserves food freshness, quality, and appeal.
• Kitchen Support: Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating.
• Maintain Cleanliness : Maintain production records and logs (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, etc.). Maintain clean and sanitized work. Ensures that all sanitation guidelines, health codes set by local and state Health Departments, as well as OSHA, are being followed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of Professional Culinary Experience
• Serv Safe Certification

Work Schedule:

• Hours : 10:30 am – 7:30 pm - Monday through Friday (30-40 weekly hours, overtime available )
• Anticipated Annual Operating Schedule : 30-42 Weeks. College semesters; August – December; January – May)
• Pay Range : $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
• Work Address : 4000 Whiting Drive, Midland, MI 48640 (Residential Dining Hall)
