Position Summary: The Line Cook plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and satisfying experience for our guests by preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position interacts directly with skiers, snowboarders, and resort visitors, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and a friendly attitude to every shift. Ideal candidates can stay cool under pressure, follow recipes and safety standards consistently, communicate effectively and take pride in their work. A passion for food, teamwork, and guest service is essential in this fun, dynamic mountain setting.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques.

  • Knowledge of Sustainability practices in the food industry.

  • Have exceptional working knowledge of ovens, stoves, coolers, freezers, kettles, and fryers.

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.

  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.

  • Set up the line with cooking utensils and equipment.

  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients & cook food in a timely manner.

  • Maintain temperature logs & prep/requisition sheets etc.

  • Follow directions from supervisors.

  • Participate in daily specials team meetings & work closely with other kitchen staff.

  • Keep your area clean and sanitized throughout the shift & restock items throughout the day.

  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.

  • Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.

  • All employees are expected to support Eldoras corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

Specific Job Skills:

  • High school degree or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling& prolonged standing.

Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment.

Concentrated reading and writing.

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Variation in temperature from hot to cold.

Schedule:

  • Non-Peak Days (M-F): 7:30am-4:30pm or 9:30am-5:30pm

  • Peak Days (Sa/Sun/Holidays): 6:30am-2:30pm or 9:30am-5:30pm

  • This schedule represents an average work week and is subject to change based on guest volume, operational needs, and weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $19+tips. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

  • Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Additionally, this position accumulates sick time.
