Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Lead Server Engineer to support KITS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This opportunity will require the candidate to work onsite in downtown Washington, DC; Hybrid (3 days onsite up to 2 telework). This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
We are looking for a highly qualified, experienced, and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Lead Server Engineer to support a potential future business opportunity located in Washington, DC.
The ideal Lead Server Engineer will:
Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance results, and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
Perform systems engineering throughout the entire system life cycle to support data center modernization
Develops understanding of customers' organization, goals, business needs, and enterprise architectures and systems.
Establishes system development and integration methodologies and standards, such as the ELCM
Facilitate the collection, storage, security, and integrity of electronic data while ensuring appropriate access.
Continually assess the technology needs of USCP Select and introduce technologies that will further the police/security mission and prepare for Cloud Services
Provide excellent 3rd level support, and innovation in the delivery of information technology services such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)
Monitor all servers/services, core applications, and test procedures for recovery from catastrophic failure of equipment and/or applications.
Support Contingency Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Program (DRP)
Monitor datacenter environment and maintain hardware inventory of all racks.
Implement the Capital Equipment Replacement Program (CERP) to better manage equipment replacement at a more manageable pace
Develops system architectures that adhere to the Enterprise Architecture.
Develops user requirements and ensures that business solutions are consistent with client strategic goals and investment decisions
Employs best practice processes in the design, development, integration, and implementation of systems.
Applies business process improvement practices to reengineer business processes, principles, and methodologies
Implements state-of-the-practice systems and technology in the client environment, using leading-edge approaches, concepts, and ideas.
Researches and evaluates system designs to select appropriate technology and ensure efficient use of resources.
Supervise team members as required
On-site downtown Washington, DC, three (3) days per week.
Required Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Abilities:
Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant discipline or related field
Have a minimum of 5-8 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor
Possess a base-level certification, such as A+, Security+, or Network+ Possess a Core certification within their functional area, such as Server (MCSA, MCSP, MCSE, Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate), VMware Professional, VMware Advanced Professional, VMware Specialist
