Job Summary: Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking dedicated School Custodians.
Job Goal: The School Custodian shall provide a safe, clean, and comfortable school environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Vaild NJ Driver's License
- Knowledge of methods, procedures, materials, and equipment necessary for work involved in building maintenance
- Five years of related experience
- Valid New Jersey Black Seal License for boiler operation or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Ability to use technology for work order maintenance systems
- Willingness to attend professional development
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance, cleaning methods and procedures, heating and ventilation, proper handling of hazardous materials
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Working Conditions: Full time, 12 month position, benefits
Salary range: Based on FLEA salary guide which ranges between $46,405 and $72,865, commensurate with experience.
